Acergy Wins $500 Million Nigerian Offshore Contract

Chevron Nigeria has awarded Acergy S.A. a $500 million contract for its gas development program in Escravos, offshore Nigeria.

The contract includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, tie-in and commission work for more than 80 miles of pipelines, 15 risers and three subsea tie-ins as well as the installation of over 40 crossings in water depths of up to 131 feet. Plans call for engineering to start immediately with offshore installation due late in 2010.
