Veteran energy journalist Daniel Whitten has joined the America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) as vice president of Strategic Communications. Whitten will help lead the association’s efforts to promote the environmental, economic and national security benefits of clean, abundant and North American natural gas.

The Clock Spring Company recently added three new employees. Darren Looi joins sales efforts and operations in Malaysia; Dimas Satya Lesmana joined sales efforts and operations in Indonesia; and Keith Hodson is technology manager in the UK office.

Ruofei “Charles” Zheng has joined the Pipeline Machinery International (PLM) team in China as territory manager. He will focus on maintaining and expanding PLM’s relationships with clients in China and coordinating its China operations. He joins a PLM presence in the Asia Pacific region that is expanding to serve a rapidly growing pipeline construction industry. New staff and office locations are planned or in place in Australia, Singapore, and China. The China operations will be headquartered in Beijing, near the “Pipeline City” of Langfang (home to China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau).

“We look forward to having Charles directly on hand in Beijing for our major pipeline customers,” said PipeLine Machinery International President Mel Ternan. “PLM has enjoyed equipment supply success in China and is Caterpillar’s exclusive equipment supplier for China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau. By establishing PLM’s base in Beijing, we are better serving this growing market.”

After more than 55 years of service to Heath Consultants Inc., Milton W. Heath Jr. announced his retirement as chairman of the board. To continue the family legacy, Carolyn Heath Haag was named board chairman.

BJ Services Company named Kyle Ruzick area manager – Gulf Coast for its process and pipeline services group. He will oversee all process and pipeline services operations, business development initiatives and financial management in the Gulf of Mexico region.

Ernest Lever, a leader in the field of plastic piping systems, has joined Gas Technology Institute (GTI) as a senior institute engineer to lead GTI’s research, testing, development and deployment of plastic pipe, fittings and other products.

Michael Bellamy
has been appointed general manager of GE's PII Pipeline Solutions business. He will be relocating to PII's headquarters in Cramlington, Northumberland in the UK. In conjunction with this appointment, GE Oil & Gas announced the retirement of John Bucci, general manager, PII Pipeline Solutions, after 34 years of service.

Blake H. Winburne joined McDermott Will & Emery LLP as a partner in the Energy & Commodities Advisory Practice Group. He is based in the Houston office.

RigNet Inc. has named John Bush manager, Strategic Business Development, which will be focused on extending remote communications and collaborative applications to new geographic and vertical markets.
