El Paso/Spectra JV Put 1,100-Mile Ethane Pipeline On Hold

El Paso has placed its 1,100-mile Marcellus Ethane Pipeline project on hold after lackluster interest from producers.

Original plans called for construction of a 60,000-90,000-bpd pipeline by a joint venture made up of El Paso and Spectra Energy to transport ethane from the Marcellus Shale to the Gulf Coast beginning in 2014.
