Korea Gas Seeks Participation In Russian Pipeline

South Korea's Korea Gas Corp. may participate in construction of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok natural gas transportation system in Russia.

The pipeline would pipe offshore gas from Sakhalin to Vladivostok. Gazprom will begin first gas deliveries to Vladivostok in 2011. South Korea’s interest is fueled by plans to pipe LNG from a plant in Vladivostok to South Korea and Japan via subsea pipelines.
