A recent West Virginia pipeline construction job on a 58-degree slope used geotechnical polyurethane pipe pillows and trench breakers made by a U.S. company, NCFI Polyurethanes.

For the past 30 years, AnchorPipe has designed and installed over 100,000 screw anchors and ScrewPiles to permanently stabilize new and existing pipelines. In the past two years, the firm says it has seen a variety of applications for screw anchors and ScrewPiles from buoyancy control in flood prone areas, lowering pipelines to their original elevation, supporting pipelines over onshore creeks and offshore risers, and in storm current (lateral load) protection.

Kongsberg Maritime completed the world’s longest, multi-sensor autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) pipeline survey using one of its cutting-edge HUGIN 1000 AUVs. Power conversion specialist Converteam has been commissioned by Chipeta Processing LLC to supply a complete variable speed drive system (VSDS) to control two natural gas compressor trains at the Chipeta Processing Plant in Utah. The system is expected to save an estimated $2 million per year in energy costs.
