Vermeer NAVIGATOR® HDD Rigs

Vermeer has expanded its NAVIGATOR® line of horizontal directional drills to include three rigs for the large-diameter pipeline industry.

The units feature pullback forces of 500,000, 750,000 and 1,000,000 lbs. The drills are built upon the Horizontal Rig & Equipment design recently acquired by Vermeer. The D500x500, D750x900 and D1000x900 are designed specifically for large-diameter pipe installations. To enable contractors to focus on performance, the drills feature a simple, proven design that eliminates the number of drive components, including high-speed motors and reduction gearboxes. High-torque, low-speed hydraulic motors power the rotary and carriage drives. On the rotary drive, a single through-shaft motor turns the drill string and downhole tooling. www.vermeer.com.
