Williams Partners Completes Pipeline Expansion

Williams Partners L.P. has placed an expansion of its Transco natural gas pipeline system into service, increasing firm transportation capacity into the Southeast by 253,500 Dth/d.

New service from the Mobile Bay South project creates southbound, year-round firm transportation capacity on the Mobile Bay Lateral from Transco's mainline at Station 85 near Butler, AL to its interconnect with Gulfstream Natural Gas System in Coden, AL. The project included construction of a 9,470-hp compressor facility at Station 85 in Choctaw County, AL. The project is estimated at $37 million.
