Emerson

Emerson improved the scalability, data protection and threat intelligence of its Zedi Cloud SCADA software-as-a-service control platform by moving it to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

The more robust cloud host enables customers to securely scale their supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems quickly and easily to achieve environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments, better safeguard critical business assets, and adapt their operations to changing requirements while mitigating risks and operational costs.

The platform uses advanced automation and software, including proven machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence to build predictive models that lead to autonomous operations over time, helping support sustainability efforts in oil and gas. Critical data can then be stored in an operation’s data historian to track and trend performance and emissions and demonstrate compliance to regulators. www.emerson.com

RegO

RegO introduced Presto-Tap, the industry’s only UL-listed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) system leak test devices to its portfolio. Adding the full line of Presto-Tap devices to its portfolio of LPG valves, regulators and tank hardware enables the company to provide a fast, low-emissions way to perform required National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) system leak tests.

RegO provides an online calculator to project the total savings available, with the devices and valves, factoring in the cost of the technician’s time, service call expenses and the cost of excess LPG emissions. RegO also offers the LDS2000 RV fitting, a series of Presto-Tap leak detection system (LDS) brass pigtails, as well as tank pressure fittings (TPF Series) for installation between the tank service valve and the first-stage regulator. www.pages.regoproducts.com

Sick

With a key partnership between Sick and Eagle Research Corporation (ERC), a new remote data collection solution is available for the United States market using the FLOWSIC500 ultrasonic gas flow meter.

This new device allows for remote access to meter integrity data and gas flow information. ERC is an independently owned, automation and telemetry solutions provider, focused on industrial and natural gas applications. This new partnership pairs the FLOWSIC500 with ERC’s 9040500USM cellular monitoring device.

The ERC 9040500USM integrates with any SCADA system or third-party polling engine to access flow information and meter health data using standard LTE Cellular-based communication protocols. Product specifications include LTE Communications via AT&T or Verizon and ultra-low power consumption; input power of 5-30 VDC, MODBUS and RS-485 compatible; MiMo puck antenna for tamper resistance; and polycarbonate 8-by-6-inch enclosure-pole or wall mount. www.sick.com

Dekotec

Dekotec GmbH offers Dexpand-CF70, which repairs damaged sections of steel pipes and restores the structural integrity, returning them to their  original level. With the carbon composite repair system, the pipeline can be repaired during  ongoing  operations. The system can provide a saving of about 75% and take about half as long, Dekotec said. It is suitable to repair defects in which up to 80% of the original wall thickness has been lost. The  system  is  suitable  for  operating  temperatures  of  up  to  70 degrees C (158 degrees F).

Esco Tool

Esco Tool offers a portable, inner-diameter clamping pipe beveller with a variable-speed electric motor for use on-site. The Prepzilla Millhog Clamping End Prep Tool features an electric motor with increased power and variable speeds from 9 to 31 rpm for continuous use and faster beveling. Equipped with a three-blade holder that can bevel any angle, face and bore simultaneously, the tool can produce precision end preps on hard stainless steels and highly alloyed pipe.

It only requires one mandrel and eight sets of clamps for its entire range. The tool is designed for pipe ranging from a 1.575-inch inner diameter (ID) to an 8.62-inch outer-diameter (OD). It has motor specifications of 230 V, 3.08 hp (2,300 W) and 50 to 60 Hz, and it has dual-opposed tapered roller bearings to support the motor. www.escotool.com

Polygon

Polygon offers composite tubes and bearings that meet the high-pressure conditions and toughest design challenges in the oil and gas industry. Applications for the high-performance composites include exploration sensor housings, valves, platform cranes and sheaves, actuators, blow-out preventers, pumps, top drives, drill components and draw works. The composites and component resins can withstand the high temperatures to which oil and gas technologies are frequently subjected. The composite bearings and tubing are highly machinable and ensure the easiest possible drill-outs, ensuring efficiency in production and in the field. www.polygoncomposites.com
