EnLink Midstream Approves Major Capacity Increase at Louisiana Gas Storage Facility
(P&GJ) — EnLink Midstream has reached a final investment decision (FID) for its first brownfield natural gas expansion project in Louisiana.
The project involves expanding the Jefferson Island Storage & Hub (JISH) by approximately 8 billion cubic feet (Bcf), backed by long-term contracts with investment-grade credit customers.
The Stage 1 expansion, which leverages existing assets at JISH, is expected to cost approximately $85 million and will increase the facility’s working gas storage from 2 Bcf to 10 Bcf. The expansion is anticipated to begin service in 2028.
