Germany's Wintershall Dea Makes Gas Condensate Discovery in North Sea

(Reuters) — Germany's Wintershall Dea and its Norwegian partners Petoro and DNO have made a gas condensate discovery at the Cuvette prospect in the northern North Sea, the operator said in a statement on Wednesday.
The well was drilled just south of Wintershall Dea's Vega Central field, and the partners will consider whether the discovery can be fast-tracked into production utilizing existing infrastructure in the area, the company added.
The combined recoverable volume is estimated at between 16 million and 38 million barrels of oil equivalent, Wintershall Dea said.
Norway's Offshore Directorate separately confirmed a discovery had been made.
