Vallourec Extends Abu Dhabi Oil Contract, Secures New Order
(P&GJ) — Vallourec has signed a two-year extension to its contract with the National Oil Company of Abu Dhabi, originally worth around $900 million. The extension, effective from January 2025 to January 2027, includes an expanded scope of supply and new services.
Under the new terms, Vallourec will continue to supply a full range of tubes and connections for both onshore and offshore oil and gas fields. The contract now also covers local pipe coating and digital solutions like Tallyvision, which provides full traceability for each tube. Vallourec's state-of-the-art storage yard, featuring a fully digital management system, will continue to support operations.
Additionally, Vallourec has secured a new order for 27,000 tonnes of tubes, which will be manufactured at its plants in France, Brazil, China, and Indonesia. Deliveries are set to begin at the end of 2024. The company will also provide on-site assistance through its VAM® Field Service offering.
“The extension of our contract demonstrates our customer’s trust and the added value they receive from our integrated tubes and services,” said Philippe Guillemot, chairman and CEO of Vallourec. “We are proud of our operations in Abu Dhabi and the commitment of our teams to our long-standing partner.”
