INGAA Names Boardwalk Pipelines’ McMahon as 2025 Chair, Congratulates Christie on FERC Appointment
(P&GJ) — The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) has announced Michael McMahon, Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Boardwalk Pipelines, as its chairman for 2025. Alongside this news, INGAA extended congratulations to Mark Christie on his appointment as Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
McMahon to Lead INGAA in 2025
Michael McMahon, a seasoned industry leader with over 35 years of experience, will serve a one-year term as INGAA’s chairman. McMahon, who previously held the role in 2015, has been a driving force at Boardwalk Pipelines and its subsidiaries since 1989. As chairman, he will prioritize streamlined permitting processes for new infrastructure and the safe, reliable transportation of natural gas in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Amy Andryszak, President and CEO of INGAA, highlighted McMahon’s extensive experience and dedication to the industry.
“For many years now, Mike has demonstrated his commitment to our industry and organization, and his decades of legal and regulatory experience and extensive knowledge about the natural gas transmission industry is an invaluable asset to INGAA as we work with policymakers to advance our priorities,” Andryszak said. “Mike and I have worked together in different capacities for almost 15 years, and I look forward to working with him at INGAA to advocate for commonsense policy solutions for our industry to ensure Americans continue to have access to reliable and affordable energy.”
McMahon emphasized the natural gas industry’s critical role in meeting energy demands.
“As energy demand increases, INGAA’s members remain essential to providing the critical infrastructure necessary to safely deliver natural gas while helping to support America’s growing economy,” he said. “It is as important now as ever to bring industry leaders together to advocate for policies and regulations that support the continued buildout of natural gas infrastructure.”
McMahon earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and a law degree from Washburn University.
In addition, INGAA appointed Cynthia Hansen, Executive Vice President and President, Gas Transmission and Midstream at Enbridge, as vice chair. Hansen previously served as INGAA’s second vice chair.

Christie’s leadership at FERC aligns with INGAA’s mission to advance infrastructure development, ensuring reliable energy delivery to meet growing demand while addressing market challenges.
