July Personnel Changes: Ledcor, Mears, Wood Group and more
Tom Lassu, president Ledcor Contractors Ltd., announced the appointment of Kevin Cater as president of Ledcor Pipeline Inc. He willoversee Ledcor’s pipeline operations in the U.S. and work out of the Houston office.
Several high-profile pipeline industry professionals have recently joined the Mears team, further enhancing Mears Group’s status as an industry leader in providing pipeline integrity services, according to Mark Gluskin, senior vice president for Mears’ Pipeline Integrity Group. Kevin C. Garrity, P.E, has accepted the position of vice president and will oversee special projects and developing new markets for Mears worldwide. Aida Lopez-Garrity, P.E. Eng. has joined as director and will be responsible for client development. Nicholas Ashcraft is the new manager of technical services responsible for managing the training and R&D facility, OQ program and engineering development. Brad Leonard is the pipeline integrity specialist. He has experience in pipeline integrity and materials in both liquid and gas transmission industries worldwde.
Alliance Wood Group Engineering, part of the John Wood Group PLC, has promoted two employees to its senior management team. Edmund-Hugo Lunde was named chief operating officer and Dan Dutherage vice president of business development and marketing.
Atmos Energy Corp. elected Robert C. Grable to its board of directors, increasing the board’s size to 14. He will serve on the Audit and Human Resources Committees.
Avista Corp. named Jason Thackston vice president of finance. He will retain responsibilities in corporate development and investor relations. Thackston has been with Avista for 13 years with leadership positions in energy resources, resource accounting and financial planning.
Colfax Corporation’s Dave McKinstry, vice president of business development and special projects, has received the Hydraulic Institute’s (HI) lifetime achievement award. HI’s board of directors presents the award to a professional who has worked to promote pump technology during his career.
Flotek Industries Inc. named Scott D. Stanton as vice president of Finance and chief accounting officer. Stanton is a CPA.
IronPlanet®, an online auction company for used construction and agricultural equipment, named Chad Groves managing director of IronPlanet Australia.
EagleBurgmann U.S. has named Marcus Pillion president. Pillion will be responsible for the operational performance of this subsidiary and represent the company in the Houston area.
Grady Wilkerson has been promoted to vice president of Sales at Victaulic. He will help to develop and increase the company’s presence in the global oil, gas and chemical markets.
Griffith R. Morris has joined FMI’s Utilities Market Group as managing director of Utility Business Development. Morris has four decades of servicing utilities, regulatory authorities and industrial companies.
Freddy Gebhardt was named president of Wild Well Control Inc. Gebhardt has served as executive as vice president and general manager since 2005.
Flowserve Corp. named Dean P. Freeman as vice president and treasurer. Freeman rotates into the role previously held by Paul Fehlman, who will continue to serve as an officer and was recently named vice president of Financial Planning and Analysis and Investor Relations.
Effective July 1, ABS installed new senior management in its Europe and Pacific divisions. William J. Sember, currently president and COO, ABS Europe Ltd, based in London, will return to Houston as vice president of Global Marketing. Todd Grove, president and COO of the Pacific Division of ABS will move from Singapore to London, assuming the position of president and COO, ABS Europe Ltd.
Mark McGrath has been promoted to replace Grove as president and COO of the Pacific Division of ABS, in Singapore. Taking over from McGrath as senior vice president of Operations, will be Eric Kleess, currently vice president Northern Pacific Region.
ABS Country Manager, Denmark, Rick Pride has been promoted to regional vice president Middle East to replace Auger and he, in turn, will be replaced by Brad Achorn who will move from his current position as country manager, Malaysia. Christopher Perrocco, currently principal surveyor, Abu Dhabi, is now country manager, Malaysia, and will move to Kuala Lumpur to take on this new assignment.
Steve Hryshchyshyn has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president, Quality and Mark Corsetti, currently principal surveyor in charge, Shanghai, has been promoted to country manager, Taiwan to replace Hryshchyshyn.
The Letton-Hall Group of Houston has added Eric Toskey to its team of engineers. Toskey comes to the firm with skills that address the particular demands of a recently awarded deepwater measurement contract with the nonprofit Research Partnership to Secure Energy for America (RPSEA).
Paul Niznik joined New York-based Innovation Fuels as vice president of Strategic Operations managing the New England market. He will spearhead development of the New Haven terminal which opened for business in June. The terminal will feature barge, truck, vessel and rail access to heated storage for 1.2 million gallons of biodiesel fuel.
Voyager, a Houston-based company formed by TPF II in August 2008 to develop, acquire and manage midstream natural gas assets across the U.S., including gathering systems, pipelines, processing plants and gas storage facilities, has expanded its management team with the addition of two industry veterans. Fritz Brinkman joins Voyager with 40 years of experience in the natural gas midstream sector, focusing on transportation, gathering, treating and processing opportunities. Mike Latchem joins Voyager with over 12 years of experience with acquisitions and grassroots development of natural gas gathering, processing and transmission transactions.
Manoelle Lepoutre was named executive vice president, Sustainable Development and Environment, at Total. She previously served as vice president, R&D at Total Exploration & Production. She succeeds Jean-Michel Fires.
Williams Pipeline Partners L.P. elected Steven L. Zelkowitz as a member of the general partner’s board of directors. He will serve on the Audit and Conflicts Committees.
