AMEC Awarded FEED Contract For Australian Project


Inpex has awarded AMEC Engineering a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for the Ichthys Gas Field Development offshore facilities, including an export pipeline of more than 850 km to Darwin, Australia. The Ichthys field is located in the Browse Basin, offshore Western Australia.

AMEC will provide FEED services for the semi-submersible central processing facility, the floating production storage and offloading unit, the umbilicals, risers and flowlines, and the export pipeline. The project is expected to have initial capacity to produce more than 8 MMt/a of LNG, 1.6 MMt/a of LPG and 100,000 bbl/d of condensate at peak. The first shipment of LNG is scheduled to be loaded in 2015.
