Flowserve Corporation is providing $8 million worth of pumps for Shell Malaysia Exploration & Production to aid in the oil recovery efforts for the St. Joseph field, located in the South China Sea.

Flowserve barrel pumps will be used on this redevelopment project to inject seawater into the field to boost oil extraction.

Aberdeen headquartered Triton Group is to build on its presence in Houston with the transfer of the production of specialist subsea equipment from Florida. The global providers of subsea technology products and services have created 40 jobs in Houston and expanded their accommodation in West Little York from 5,000 to 30,000 square feet in the last 18 months.

Triton Group subsidiary, Perry Slingsby Systems, which manufactures remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for the subsea oil and gas industry, has production capability in Florida but also a manufacturing base in the UK and Houston. The transfer of Florida production to Houston, to be undertaken in the next few months, will bring the total invested by Triton Group in the city to in excess of $2 million.

Oilennium Ltd. is joining forces with Oilfield Training Center Ghana (OTC) to develop a series of interactive training programs specifically designed for Ghana’s emerging oil and gas industry.

Applied Research Associates, Inc. has acquired Geo-Marine, Inc., an engineering, energy, and environmental technology firm headquartered in Plano, TX.

Cameron’s centrifugal compression division has launched the new Control Panel Trade-in Program. This program is designed to offer compressor customers the opportunity to upgrade existing compressed air control system with a new Maestro Universal™ control panel. During this promotional period, Cameron will issue a $3,000 credit for customers who trade in their control panel (any make or model) and upgrade to the new Maestro Universal™.

Customers will also benefit from the savings provided by the energy-efficient Maestro Universal™ panel. On average, energy savings exceed the initial investment associated with upgrading to this state-of-the-art compressor control system within one year.

TNK-BP and Weatherford International have completed an oil field services transaction that allows Weatherford to acquire 10 OFS companies providing drilling, well workover and cementing services operating in West Siberia, East Siberia and the Volga-Urals region.

Oceaneering International Inc. secured a contract with estimated revenue of $44-64 million from Petrobras Netherlands B.V. to supply up to 52 electro-hydraulic thermoplastic control umbilicals totaling 100 miles in length. The umbilicals will be used to supply power and perform chemical injection for various subsea wells.

Product manufacturing has commenced at the Oceaneering Multiflex facility in Niteroi, Brazil and is scheduled to be completed by late 2010. The maximum water depth at the locations where these umbilicals are to be installed is 6,500 feet.

AUT Specialists has assembled a core group of engineers, managers, and technicians to provide AUT girthweld inspections, manual-phased array for tie-ins and repairs and radiography services.

Pipeline Documentation Services offers a way to document the complete process carried out on pipeline construction projects. The company’s photographic methods of documentation results in hundreds of photos being taken that show all aspects of the construction process. CNH Global N.V. and Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT), both companies of the Fiat Group, are partnering to expand the FPT North America (NA) dealer network and cooperate in the areas of after sales service and parts. FPT NA will select and designate 300 independently owned dealers from the CNH family of brands to operate as authorized FPT service dealers.

Certification
The American Petroleum Institute (API) completed its annual compliance audit of ROSEN USA’s Houston facility, and found its quality-management system continued to be in compliance with API Specification Q1. ROSEN USA is the first and only ILI vendor to earn and maintain an API Q1 Certification. The scope of this certification includes API 1163, the recognized inline inspection services standard for the oil and gas pipeline industry.

The API Q1 Standard is an umbrella document that, by reference, incorporates two additional standards: NACE RP 0102 and ASNT ILI-PQ. By complying with these standards, clients are ensured they are using an ILI vendor that employs qualified personnel and operates qualified inline inspection technologies.
