Foster Wheeler Wins Deepwater Gulf Pipeline Projects

Foster Wheeler AG’s Global Engineering and Construction Group has been awarded a detail design contract by Enbridge Offshore Facilities, LLC for the deepwater Walker Ridge Gathering System export gas pipelines and the deepwater Big Foot (BGF) export oil pipeline located in the Walker Ridge area of the Gulf of Mexico.

The $500 million Walker Ridge Gathering System is expected to include approximately 190 miles of 8-inch, 10-inch and/or 12-inch diameter pipeline at depths of up to 7,000 feet and will have a capacity of 100 MMcf/d. The pipeline network is being built in partnership with Chevron.

Big Foot is an approximately 40-mile, 20-inch diameter pipeline located about 180 miles off the coast of Louisiana that will deliver oil from the Chevron-operated Jack and Big Foot ultra deepwater development to a subsea connection on the Tahiti lateral of the Amberjack pipeline system in Green Canyon Block 598.
Big Foot is planned for completion in January 2014.
