Mexican Officials Weighing Gas Pipeline

A gas pipeline planned for Mexico’s west coast could offer multiple advantages for Vancouver-based Chesapeake Gold’s Metates gold-silver project.

The government’s awarding of contracts to construct the 1,271-km pipeline has enabled Chesapeake to incorporate a gas plant in its PFS, which compared to the coal plant previously envisioned will offer “significantly lower power costs while improving environmental management.”
