Summit Midstream To Expand North Dakota Gathering Systems

Summit Midstream Partners, LLC announced an expansion of its Divide crude oil and water gathering system under construction in Williams and Divide counties, ND.

In addition to the 90 miles of crude gathering pipeline being constructed as part of the Divide system, 145 miles of new gathering pipeline capable of handling up to 45,000 bpd of crude and 45,000 bpd of water will be built.

The expansion is supported by the recent execution of a 10-year, fee-based crude oil and water gathering agreement covering 250,000 dedicated acres with an independent producer in the Bakken Shale play. The total capital expenditures for the expansion are $60 million. The expansion is expected to be put in service in phases between the Q4 2013 and Q1 2014.
