Southern Star Plans Western Oklahoma Pipeline Expansion

Southern Star plans expansion of firm transportation capacity on its Straight Blackwell line segment in western Oklahoma.

This follows a binding open season last fall which resulted in Southern Star executing precedent agreements with two shippers for 225,000 Dth/d of firm transportation service.

“This project helps us serve the growing Oklahoma production corridor including the Mississippi Lime Play with access to markets in Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri and access to other intrastate and interstate pipelines,” said President and CEO Jerry Morris.
The firm transportation agreements and the in-service date for the facilities will be effective Oct. 1, 2014.
