Fluor/JGC JV Wins EPC Contract For Kitimat LNG Project
Fluor Corporation’s joint venture with JGC was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Chevron Canada Limited for the proposed Kitimat LNG project in Bish Cove, BC, Canada.
The project includes completion of the existing FEED package by finalizing value-improving concepts for the proposed LNG facility. The scope of work includes detailed engineering and procurement services for initial phases of the project.
Chevron and Apache Canada Limited each hold a 50% interest in the proposed LNG project that will include natural gas liquefaction, LNG storage and marine on-loading facilities. Natural gas will be delivered via a pipeline lateral of 14 km from the Pacific Trail Pipelines, which will connect to the existing Spectra Energy West Coast Pipeline system.
