Editor’s Note: Exploring the Technologies Behind Today’s Pipeline Operations
By Tyler Campbell, Editor
(P&GJ) — After several years covering the downstream and hydrogen sectors as an editor for Hydrocarbon Processing and H2Tech, I am excited to introduce myself to such an important community that plays a vital role in global energy reliability and infrastructure integrity. As I begin my journey in the pipeline sector, I aim to assist in the evolving energy landscape by continuing to provide industry-leading technical content.
Working closely with refiners, hydrogen technology innovators and petrochemical leaders has shown me the importance of modern infrastructure, evolving technologies and the importance of optimizing operations. Stepping into the pipeline sector feels like a natural progression, and I look forward to contributing to the sharing of knowledge from pipeline operators, technology providers, and service and vendor companies, regarding everything from pipeline integrity to digital technologies. By bringing my experience slightly upstream (so to speak), I am now able to focus on the systems, technologies and engineering decisions that connects the entire energy value chain, through an energy transition of my own.
As I settle into this role, my goal is simple: to help elevate the stories, insights and real-world expertise that keeps the industry moving forward. To this end, I would like to invite you, the readers, to share your expertise through technical articles, case studies, viewpoints and know-how. This content should go beyond the surface level and dive into lessons learned, field results and new approaches that engineers and operators seek and appreciate.
Whether you have a full draft ready, a case study or just an idea, feel free to reach out to me at any time at Tyler.Campbell@gulfenergyinfo.com. This publication is at its best when it reflects the voices and experiences of the people shaping the pipeline sector every day. I am excited to be a part of this community, and even more excited to hear from you.
