Prospera Brings New Pipelines Online in Western Canada Ahead of Winter Reactivations
Prospera Energy has completed three pipeline replacement and integrity projects across its Cuthbert and Hearts Hill fields, enabling injector and producer wells to return to service ahead of its 2025–26 winter capital program.
(P&GJ) — Prospera Energy has finished three pipeline replacement and integrity-upgrade projects across its core Cuthbert and Hearts Hill fields, positioning the company to advance its winter capital program and return additional production to service.
The recently completed work includes two replacement pipelines in Cuthbert and one in Hearts Hill. All three reached mechanical completion over the past week and are now operating. Prospera said the upgrades have allowed several injector wells to be brought back online and enabled a staged restart of producer wells across the fields, improving fluid management and reliability.
The company’s 2025–26 winter program includes a 42-well reactivation and optimization plan, along with targeted workovers in Hearts Hill and packer repairs and restarts in Cuthbert. Prospera said the program is being executed in a “measured and responsible manner” with an emphasis on improving production consistency and strengthening near-term cash flow.
Prospera also reported that it completed remediation of 311 regulatory non-compliances over the past year, which it said reflects progress in improving operational discipline and regulatory alignment.
“Completion of these pipeline upgrades marks a pivotal and transformational step forward for Prospera,” CEO Shubham Garg said. “With these projects now in service, we are able to advance our winter capital program and bring additional production online with greater consistency and efficiency backed by reliable cash flow from our low-decline production base.”
