Energy Veterans Launch Endurance Investment Partners, Backed by Rice Investment Group

Endurance Investment Partners, co-founded by former NGP and Tailwater executives, has launched with backing from Rice Investment Group. The new firm has closed its first energy infrastructure investment and is targeting strategic liquidity solutions across the sector.

(P&GJ) — Endurance Investment Partners, a newly established private equity firm, has officially launched with strategic backing from Rice Investment Group (RIG) and has closed its first investment.

The firm was co-founded by John Spradling and Trey Hatcher, who have worked together for more than a decade. Endurance aims to provide strategic liquidity solutions for energy and infrastructure sponsors and management teams.

“As the private equity landscape evolves, we believe the energy and infrastructure sectors will increasingly require strategic liquidity solutions. We launched Endurance to solve that market need,” said John Spradling, Co-Founder and Partner at Endurance.

The partnership with Rice Investment Group, an investment fund backed by the Rice family with a track record in energy ventures, provides Endurance with access to technical and operational expertise.

“We couldn’t be more excited about our partnership with Rice Investment Group and believe it is a tremendous advantage for Endurance,” said Trey Hatcher, Co-Founder and Partner. “RIG's technical and operational expertise across the energy value chain is invaluable as we seek to build a leading investment platform.”

Endurance has already completed its inaugural investment in an energy infrastructure platform, providing a customized liquidity solution to a sponsor.

“We’re thrilled to partner with John and Trey,” said Kyle Derham, Partner at RIG. “They founded Endurance with a clear vision to address the need for flexible capital solutions, and it’s exciting to see that thesis come to life with the execution of their initial transaction.”

The firm is actively pursuing additional investment opportunities.
