Marcellus Gas Producer Expands Capstone Microturbine Fleet Beyond 150 Units
A leading Marcellus Shale gas producer has expanded its Capstone microturbine fleet beyond 150 units with a new order from E-Finity, highlighting demand for reliable, low-emission on-site power.
(P&GJ) — Capstone Green Energy Holdings Inc. said its distributor, E-Finity Distributed Generation, has secured a new order from a major U.S. natural gas producer in the Marcellus Shale.
The deal includes a pre-commissioned skid with three C65 microturbines and an m-TIM controller, scheduled for installation in October.
With this order, the producer’s Capstone fleet will exceed 150 units, among the largest microturbine fleets in the country. The systems run on pipeline natural gas and are valued for reliable power, low emissions, and performance in remote locations where uninterrupted supply is essential.
The pre-commissioned skid is designed for rapid deployment, with same-day startup and scalability to add a fourth turbine if needed.
“Our relentless focus on delivering customer value through innovative, clean, and reliable power solutions continues to resonate with leaders in the natural gas sector,” said Vince Canino, president and CEO of Capstone Green Energy.
Jeff Beiter, CEO of E-Finity Distributed Generation, added: “The fully pre-commissioned skid enables rapid deployment with no on-site commissioning, a major advantage for operations in remote areas. Our customer’s commitment to expanding their fleet reflects the durability of Capstone microturbines and the continued faith in the E-Finity team to provide top-tier service.”
Capstone microturbines are designed with low maintenance requirements and flexible scalability, offering operators cost efficiency and regulatory compliance in increasingly demanding environments.
