Perma-Pipe Books $54 Million in Q1 Awards Across Energy, Data Center Projects

Perma-Pipe secured $54 million in first-quarter project awards, driven by demand across energy infrastructure, district cooling systems and U.S. data center development.

(P&GJ) — Perma-Pipe International Holdings reported approximately $54 million in project awards during the first quarter of 2026, reflecting continued demand for engineered piping systems across energy and infrastructure markets.

The company said the awards span North America and the Middle East, with activity tied to both traditional energy projects and emerging infrastructure segments, including data center development.

In North America, project wins were supported by increased investment in data center infrastructure, including facilities tied to artificial intelligence and high-performance computing. Additional awards included projects associated with research facilities and industrial applications.

In the Middle East and North Africa, Perma-Pipe secured contracts tied to district heating and cooling systems in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, supporting large-scale urban and energy infrastructure developments.

Company executives said demand remains strong across both regions as infrastructure investment continues to expand.

Marc Huber, senior vice president for North America, said the company is seeing increased activity tied to data center construction.

“Investment in data center infrastructure continues to accelerate, driving demand for high-performance piping systems,” Huber said.

Adham Sharkawi, senior vice president for the MENA region, said project activity reflects continued growth in regional infrastructure development.

“The awards in the UAE and Saudi Arabia highlight demand for efficient district energy systems,” Sharkawi said.

Perma-Pipe said the mix of project awards reflects ongoing investment across energy, utilities and industrial infrastructure, with additional opportunities expected through the remainder of the year.
