Summit Midstream Names Chris Tennant Chief Commercial Officer

Summit Midstream has named veteran executive Chris Tennant as chief commercial officer, tapping his decades of experience across natural gas, NGL and crude oil markets to lead commercial strategy.

(P&GJ) — Summit Midstream Corporation has appointed Chris Tennant as senior vice president and chief commercial officer, effective immediately, the company said Feb. 2.

In the role, Tennant will oversee Summit’s commercial strategy, customer relationships and growth initiatives across its midstream footprint.

Tennant brings more than 30 years of experience across U.S. midstream and energy markets, with a background spanning natural gas, NGL and crude oil systems. He most recently served as senior vice president and chief commercial officer, midstream, at Matador Resources, where he led midstream strategy within an upstream organization, including the expansion of third-party commercial contracts.

Prior to joining Matador, Tennant spent 14 years at EnLink Midstream, holding several senior commercial leadership roles with responsibility for gathering and processing assets, NGL infrastructure, crude oil systems, and regulated and non-regulated pipelines.

“Chris brings extensive commercial experience and demonstrated leadership across midstream organizations to Summit,” said Heath Deneke, president, chief executive officer and chairman. “His background in developing and executing commercial strategies will support our growth initiatives and continued focus on long-term value creation.”

Summit Midstream Corporation operates natural gas, crude oil and produced water gathering, processing and transportation assets across multiple U.S. basins.
