Olenox to Recommission 162-Mile Pipeline for Wet Gas, NGL Production

Olenox Industries has begun the recommissioning of a 162-mile pipeline as a wet gas system, targeting NGL production, dry gas sales, and onsite power generation. The project includes new surveying, license reinstatement, and phased return to service.

Olenox Industries Inc. has begun the process of recommissioning a 162-mile pipeline that will be returned to service as a wet gas system, the company said.

The pipeline is being evaluated to transport and process both natural gas liquids (NGLs) and dry natural gas. NGL volumes are expected to be marketed into the midstream sector, while dry gas will be sold into open markets or used internally as fuel for power generation.

As part of the recommissioning effort, Olenox has initiated a new pipeline survey, which is currently under way and expected to conclude by mid-February. Following completion of the survey, the company plans to apply for license reinstatement and proceed with steps required to return the system to operation.

In addition to gas sales, Olenox said surplus dry gas may be used as feedstock for containerized generator sets to supply base and peak power to the grid.

The recommissioned system represents a shift in use of existing pipeline infrastructure to support wet gas service, combining liquids recovery, gas transportation, and optional power generation once regulatory approvals are secured.
