Midcoast Going Forward with Haynesville Pipeline System Expansion
3/10/2020
Midcoast Energy will go forward with up to 150 additional miles of pipeline, after reaching an agreement with a long-term anchor shipper in support of the proposed expansion.
The 36-inch pipeline will increase gathering capacity in the Haynesville Shale, boosting the Midcoast’s Clarity Pipeline system, which delivers to the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast by 1 Bcf/d.
The work will take place in the Shelby Trough area of the Haynesville at several locations along the existing East Texas system. Midcoast expects the projected to go into service in the first quarter of 2021.
