AMPP Gulf Coast Area to Host Inaugural Conference in Houston
(P&GJ) — The AMPP Gulf Coast Conference is set to debut in Houston, Texas, from Monday, Aug. 5 to Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024. This inaugural event marks a significant milestone for the AMPP Gulf Coast Area, bringing together Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) members, industry leaders, experts, and professionals in corrosion prevention and materials performance.
Planned and hosted by the AMPP Houston Chapter, Houston serves as the ideal backdrop for the conference as the home of the AMPP headquarters.
"We are thrilled to announce the first AMPP Gulf Coast Conference, which represents a pivotal moment for our member community," said Rebecca Griebe, AMPP Senior Director of Customer Experience. "This event will be a platform to share knowledge, forge valuable connections, and drive the industry forward. We look forward to welcoming professionals and our members from across the region and beyond."
The conference program will feature a diverse range of technical sessions, workshops, and exhibitions curated to provide attendees with invaluable insights and practical takeaways. With a lineup of speakers and thought leaders, the event promises to deliver cutting-edge information on the latest advancements and best practices in corrosion prevention and materials performance.
In addition to the educational sessions, attendees can look forward to networking opportunities that will facilitate collaboration and the exchange of ideas. The conference will also feature an exhibition showcasing innovative products and services from industry-leading companies.
Watch for updates regarding an announcement about a potential AMPP Central Conference in the upcoming months. Previously, Houston was associated with the Central Area, but it is now aligned with the Gulf Coast Area. This shift is part of a strategic effort to synchronize the chapters and conferences organized by different areas under a dynamic new area model, all while maintaining a strong commitment to excellence in the field.
Further details about the AMPP Gulf Coast Conference, including registration information and the complete schedule, will be announced soon. For the latest updates and information, please visit the official conference website at https://www.ampp.org/events/gulf-coast-conference.
