Venture Global Expands Partnership with Baker Hughes for Modular LNG System
(P&GJ) — Venture Global LNG has extended its partnership with Baker Hughes to develop a modularized LNG system and power island. This expansion comes as part of a master equipment supply agreement, recently expanded to over 100 million tons per annum (MTPA) from the initial 70 MTPA, as announced during Gastech in Singapore.
"We are excited to add another milestone in our successful collaboration with Baker Hughes as a strategic LNG technology supplier, building on the expansion of our agreement,” Mike Sabel, CEO of Venture Global, said. “To enable a successful transition to more secure and sustainable economies, it is critical that we continue to further our mission of delivering low-cost LNG at a larger scale."
This contract builds on the longstanding partnership between Baker Hughes and Venture Global, with Baker Hughes having previously provided comprehensive LNG technology solutions for the Calcasieu Pass and Plaquemines LNG projects in Louisiana.
"This further expansion of our collaboration with Venture Global reaffirms that Baker Hughes technologies are advancing the efficient use of natural gas, and we are honored to continue to support their projects,” Lorenzo Simonelli, chairman and CEO of Baker Hughes, said. “The continuing demand for LNG emphasizes the pivotal role that natural gas will play in the energy transition, helping to secure supply and to reach net-zero emissions."
This latest development underscores the ongoing collaboration between these two industry leaders, marking a significant step forward in the LNG market's expansion and transition toward more sustainable and secure energy solutions.
