Caterpillar Oil & Gas introduced the new Cat G3600 Gen 2 Engine — the latest evolution of the G3600 series offering lower emissions.

With more than 8,500 Cat G3600 units in the field, the Cat G3600 Gen 2 engine is designed to build upon the robust platform’s performance, providing a 10% increase in power and lower emissions, compared to the previous model.

Running at full load, the Cat G3600 Gen 2 provides a 33% reduction in methane on a g/bhp basis and a 6% greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction, while achieving a 9.6% higher flow rate, as compared to the previous model. Additionally, the Cat G3600 Gen 2 engine has demonstrated improved durability in the field and is designed for up to 100,000 hours of operation before requiring a rebuild. 


Denios-US introduced the RuptureSeal family of leak stopping devices, which are deployed in seconds to form a secure mechanical seal that stops leaks for hours. The technology is fully functional in 20 seconds, available in four sizes and compatible with over 40,000 substances.

With full fuel and chemical compatibility and an operating range of -16°F (-50°C) to 122°F (50°C), they are ideal for use in chemical and oil and gas production sites, where pipe leaks can occur.

The seals provide protection for 10 hours, until a permanent fix can be made. Sizes range from 1/8-inch to 2 inches by 6 inches. 


With Fortide, Dekotec GmbH expands its product range with high-performance epoxy coatings. The new products, as liquid two-component epoxy-based systems, provide exceptional corrosion protection and, at the same time, mechanical resistance for a wide range of applications.

This includes applications under tough conditions: e.g., for use at high operating temperatures up to +150 degrees C (+302 degrees F), for moist surfaces or as internal coatings for tanks or pipelines. All Fortide systems comply with the international standard ISO 21809-3. 


OleumTech offers its electromagnetic flow meter as part of its H Series hardwired process instrumentation line.

The OleumTech HEFM Magnetic Flow Meter offers polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) lining material, a backlit local display interface and various self-diagnostic features for managing critical device health.

The HEFM flow meters can be custom ordered, using a variety of line sizes, materials and power options to fit the needs of OleumTech end users.

Highlights include independent measurement of fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity; two measuring points inside the meter with no moving parts; reference accuracy of ±0.2% of reading; output signal options of RS485 Modbus/4-20 mA/2-8 kHz pulse output and a backlit liquid crystal display (LCD), with integral push-button interface. 


Sensirion offered its next-generation miniature CO2 sensor series, the SCD4x. The device is built on the photo-acoustic sensing principle, and the patented PASens and CMOSens Technology combines a small sensor size with high performance.

The integrated humidity and temperature sensor enables on-chip signal compensation and additional RH and T outputs. Also, the large supply voltage range (2.4 V-5.5 V) and adjustable power consumption allow the SCD4x to increase savings.

The kit contains a four-pin jumper wire cable that enables fast prototyping, through integration with existing platforms, like Arduino and Raspberry Pi.

NDT Global presents its OPTIX Data Visualization and Insights Platform, providing pipeline operators with an intuitive, cloud-based dashboard to visualize all inline inspection (ILI) data in one accessible location.

Digitization of the final inspection report — combined with the ease of filtering and arranging relevant data — allows operators to better understand their ILI inspection results and make more informed decisions, to ensure the integrity of their pipelines.

The platform provides a comprehensive view of pipeline conditions not previously available, bringing together results from many inspection runs. Continued advancement in ILI technologies has led to significantly more data to extract and interpret.  


Endress+Hauser launched FieldGate SWG50, a new WirelessHART gateway primed for secure communication from your field devices.

FieldGate SWG50 is a compact and cost-effective device ready for Netilion integration, while providing an easy-to-use solution for multiple standard monitoring applications across various industries.

Netilion is a cloud based IIoT ecosystem designed for industrial processes, and it connects the physical and digital worlds to send information from the field straight to a phone, tablet or another device. The WirelessHART gateway FieldGate SWG50 enables users to monitor measurements and health statuses using WirelessHART connectivity. The device allows for network migration, color-coded device listing and 4-by-RJ-45.
