Perma-Pipe Wins $30 Million in Projects, Gains Saudi Aramco Approval
Perma-Pipe has secured $30 million in new project awards and won approval from Saudi Aramco, enabling the company to enter Saudi Arabia’s oil and gas pipe coating market and expand its Middle East operations.
(P&GJ) — Perma-Pipe International Holdings Inc. said its Saudi Arabian unit has secured formal technical and commercial approval from Saudi Aramco, opening the door to expanded opportunities in the Kingdom’s oil and gas sector.
The approval allows Perma-Pipe to compete directly in Saudi Arabia’s large pipe coating market, a step the company described as central to its long-term growth strategy in the Middle East. Until now, its work in the Kingdom had been limited mainly to district heating and cooling projects.
“Gaining approval from Saudi Aramco has been a key objective in our Company’s strategic growth plan and is a major step forward for our operations in the Kingdom,” said Adham Sharkawi, Senior Vice President – MENA. “It allows us to directly support one of the world’s leading energy companies with innovative solutions that meet the highest industry standards, while also positioning us for further growth in Saudi Arabia.”
Alongside the milestone, Perma-Pipe reported $30 million in new project awards across its global operations during the third quarter, adding to its backlog.
“Securing Saudi Aramco approval is another example of our successful business plan execution, including geographic, market and product expansion, which has resulted in rapidly increasing backlog and profitable growth,” said Saleh Sagr, President and CEO of Perma-Pipe.
The company has operated in the Middle East for decades and said it continues to invest in local capabilities that align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 energy and infrastructure goals.
